Emily presented the Motion for the Ocean initiative she co-founded at the UNESCO Cities with the Ocean event on Monday 8 April 2024.
Part of the official UN Ocean Decade Conference programme, this event brought together city leaders from around the world. Emily was honoured to be joined on this global stage by long-time Motion for the Ocean supporter, Cllr Ernest Gibson of South Tyneside Council.
The Motion for the Ocean was well received and two countries are interested in developing their own version. Watch this space!
