*Why have I included these roles? “Pot Washer, Retail Assistant, Student Support Worker”
Most of the CV advice you’ll see tells you just to include relevant information. But for me, my roles as a retail assistant, pot washer and student support worker are wholly relevant. They funded my living costs at university. They funded my move to a different part of the UK to be able to do field work for my masters. They funded me learning to scuba dive with my university BSAC club. They funded me learning to drive, which I needed for my first graduate job at the EA. They are what funded me to be able to volunteer – both locally and for a few months in Sri Lanka. And, they gave me skills and experience that helped me land my first graduate job in a very crowded market.
